Astrological Predictions for 2026!

Warm Winter Solstice Greetings! 

The Winter Solstice arrives on Sunday, December 21, 2025, and represents the moment when we celebrate the return of the light. The word "solstice" means "sun stands still" in Latin. The Winter Solstice is a poignant reminder and a warm invitation from Mother Nature to go into stillness and reflection at this holy time of year when the relationship of the Earth and Sun are at a standstill. We now have the opportunity to go inward to prepare for a new cycle of growth at the New Year. We also celebrate the birth of the Christ light (Christmas) and the Hanukkah Festival of Light to remind ourselves that the greatest light can be found within.
 

This photo of the Northern Lights was taken by a client who lives at the North Pole. It beautifully depicts a palpable quietude that pervades our world at the Winter Solstice. It reminds us of the powerful opportunity to go within to the inner silence and to pray for our planet and ourselves.

Many of you have expressed consternation about the deteriorating condition of our world. This deterioration of the old to make way for the new has been foreshadowed by planetary alignments for the last several years. The cycle of influential outer planets in earth and water signs (Capricorn, Pisces, and Taurus since 2019) comes to a close in early 2026, when Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto move into the powerfully activating fire and air signs of Aquarius, Aries, and Gemini. Expansive Jupiter joins the fire and air lineup when it enters the fire sign of Leo in late June 2026. 

Most importantly, karmic Saturn and spiritual Neptune will align at the 0° of the fire sign of Aries (considered the world axis) on February 20, 2026. This alignment, which has not happened in more than 6,000 years, augurs the beginning of a whole new era of human and societal evolution. It will usher in a bold restart. 

Interstellar Object 3I/ATLAS

Interstellar object 3I/Atlas entered our solar system in July 2025 and is a celestial sign of the birth of new consciousness. It made its closest approach to Earth on December 19, 2025, and will make a close approach to beneficial and expansive Jupiter in March 2026. 3I/ATLAS is so named because it is the 3rd interstellar object to enter our solar system. ATLAS stands for: Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System.
 

 

On a metaphysical level, 3I/ATLAS also could be telling us that the "3rd Eye" (3-I) is our atlas, our guide to our own future. It is urging us to go within to find our inner compass rather than looking outside to leaders, governments, or other institutions to "save" us. The entrance of any "interstellar object" into our solar system, such as a comet or other object that comes from outside of our solar system, indicates that consciousness beyond our current way of thinking is ready to dawn.

This could signal the beginning of wider acceptance of extraterrestrial life on Planet Earth. Extraterrestrial life can take the form of beneficial higher-dimensional intelligence or angelic presences, although extraterrestrial life often can be referred to in a frightening way, such as "aliens" or "UFO's." Nonetheless, we are going to learn more about the power of our thoughts (which travel through 4th dimensional space known as ether) in the coming years as a potential link between terrestrial and extraterrestrial life is explored. Extraterrestrial simply means consciousness that inhabits forms that are different from the ones we think of in the "human" terrestrial form. This consciousness can be beneficent, malevolent, or in-between, just as humans can be.
 

 

Planetary Signposts

Many other planetary signs also point to a new era, including a Solar Eclipse in a potent square angle with technologically innovative Uranus on February 17, 2026; along with the lineup of 5 powerful planets in Capricorn in January; then 5 influential planets in Aquarius in February; and 6 activating planets in Aries in April. Highly charged angles also will form between the fateful Lunar Nodes and Mars--in March, June, July, and November, 2026.

Provocative and evolutionary planetary alignments punctuate the year, particularly in July, when change-oriented Uranus aligns with spiritual Neptune and profound Pluto, from July 15 to 18, while Jupiter aligns with Neptune and Pluto on July 20, and Neptune aligns with Pluto a few days later on July 23, 2026. This is a lot of outer planetary alignments in one 8-day period! Changes catalyzed by these planetary alignments will continue to unfold in the ensuing months.

Warlike Energy

As in any acceleration of consciousness to a higher frequency, there are inevitable struggles between the old and new. Some of the planetary patterns currently forming in the sky last occurred during the U.S. Civil War and World War II. Hopefully, humankind is more evolved and this energy will not lead to the outbreak of worldwide international wars or civil wars. Nonetheless, energy for conflict is available. Remember to pray for peace and harmony in personal relationships, which will emanate greater peace and harmony into our world. Practice understanding and altruism.

New Geopolitical Alliances Form

Through the rising global tensions, new geopolitical alliances will continue to form. As the United States becomes seemingly more aligned with Russia rather than its traditional allies, new alliances will form in the European Union, possibly with other stakeholder nations. South America, Australia, and Africa will become more visible players on the world stage, possibly due to their agricultural and mineral-rich terrain. And China, which has accumulated great wealth in recent decades, will likely continue to cultivate closer ties to Russia, potentially further isolating the United States, which will eventually push the United States to form new geopolitical alliances.

New Leaders Step Up

With karmic Saturn and illusory Neptune aligned in the powerful, leadership-oriented sign of Aries in 2026, people will begin to see through the illusions promoted by their leaders. They will demand greater transparency and truth, although many leaders will resist. Leaders in weak positions will be forced to step down. Some of their replacements may create even greater deceptive images, although eventually, the truth will be revealed as the year progresses. Dysfunction in government and widespread corruption will continue to be unmasked.

Electricity

Disruptions in the electromagnetic grid of the earth will continue as satellites, WiFi, and demand for electricity spirals (due to AI). We will see more electrical storms, power outages, and computer failures as we struggle to produce the electrical energy that will be needed under the transit of technologically-oriented Uranus through the communications-oriented sign of Gemini from April 26, 2026 to 2033. Consequently, we will see disruptions to communications, computer networks, and air and car travel. Unfortunately, we may also see more airplane crashes, automobile mishaps, air space being closed, and closures of roads as transportation is restricted.

At the same time, there will be advances in other ways of moving around, such as flying cars, or other forms of generating energy, movement, delivery of goods, and communication. These include such technologies as home-computer-printing of goods ordered online so less outer transportation will be needed.

Volcanic & Explosive Energy Generated by Oil & Gas Exploration 

Oil and gas exploration could overwhelm the earth's ability to rebalance itself from the intense vibrations caused by these activities in 2026. Planetary patterns do portend volcanic eruptions, oil and gas explosions, or oil spills, due to the symphony of alignments between Uranus (disruptive, explosive), Neptune (involves gaseous substances), and Pluto (rules subterranean energies).  Reducing consumption of nature-disturbing elements (oil, gas, and coal) is certainly helpful, but even more helpful is the power of prayer to stabilize the magnetic field of the earth. More than the normal number of earthquakes could also occur in the coming year.

Pollution

We also will become more sensitive to and responsive to the collective impact of industrial and electrical pollution on human health and the health of the planet that supports us. Again, prayer and reducing mass consumption will help, along with nascent technologies that will help transmute the pollution without further contributing to it.

Financial Markets

Expect sluggish growth in the economy, inflation and unemployment, but an overall rising stock market during the first half of 2026, despite periodic downturns, followed by more precipitous drops in the markets in late summer-fall period. Gold, sliver, platinum and Bitcoin will remain hedges despite fluctuations in their prices. Overall, astrological indicators portend erratic activity in the financial markets with a low level of economic growth, especially in the second half of the year.

Immigration
Neptune in Pisces from 2012 to January 26, 2026, portended mass migration across land and sea as humans adapted to changing climatic, economic, and socio-political realities. Neptune represents the diffusion and blending of cultural customs and ideas, a direct result of mass migration. The same phenomenon occurred after the U.S. Civil War (1861-1865), when Neptune was in Aries, where it will be in 2026. Massive numbers of former slaves from the south migrated to northern cities for economic opportunities in the post-Civil War period. 

This trend continued in greater force under Neptune in Aries (1861-1875), where Neptune will be again from January 26, 2026, to 2039. Massive migration resulted from the previous transit of Neptune through Aries in the mid-to-late 1800s, as people sought a better life for various reasons. Large numbers of immigrants from Europe moved to the United States, Canada, and Argentina during this period, particularly from Germany (due to political unrest), Italy (due to lack of economic opportunity), Spain (due to military conscription), and  Russia (due to religious persecution).

Aries is an enterprising fire sign that encourages new beginnings. With Neptune in Aries from 2026 to 2039, energy for mass migration and sharing of cultural ideas will flourish.  Despite current restrictions on U.S. immigration, a global melting pot will continue to brew.

A more effective way to identify criminals through technological tools and AI, will likely be implemented so that working parents and children do not have to be separated in what currently may seem to some as an inefficient and potentially destructive process.   

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Many people fear the proliferation of AI, given that so many people are turning to AI to do the "thinking" for them. This is even more true for younger people, who are increasingly relying on "conversations" with AI to make important life decisions. Yet, please also be aware that AI is only feeding back to us what we collectively put into its data-collecting mechanism. In a sense, it is a mirror, albeit a complex one.  

I recently asked AI (through the Gemini AI platform) for a book review of my recently published book, "The Astrologer's Guide to Human Design." To my surprise, the AI platform repeated back something I had said about the book in a Zoom call earlier that day, demonstrating that AI does repeat to us what we put into the public domain, which evidently includes Zoom calls.

Yet, AI also did an impressive job of summarizing the book within seconds, scanning through it at lightening speed, either through access it has to books on Amazon.com, or perhaps through the manuscript on my computer, although I hope not the latter.

Nonetheless, one has to give AI credit for being able to synthesize massive quantities of information in an instant. This technological capability stands to raise the level of knowledge of everyone on the planet. The trick will be that as the level of knowledge increases in this world, will the level of wisdom grow too? 

Collective Choice Point
We are at an individual and collective "choice point." We have advanced far in knowledge but have we equally advanced in wisdom? Will we use our technological knowledge in wise ways? Will we expose more greed and corruption and let these negative qualities prevail in the coming era? Or are we going to maintain the idealism that grew out of the vision of the Founding Fathers? Will there be a dedication to consequences for leaders not telling the truth that characterized the Watergate era of the 1970s? The current president of the United States was elected in 2024 under Pluto in Capricorn, yet he took office in 2025 under Pluto in Aquarius. Pluto presides over the tenor of collective consciousness. Which way will the collective trajectory take us?   

Rely on Communities & Express Individuality

On that note, we are learning to rely more on our communities and ourselves as individuals as we watch the deterioration of our governmental and corporate systems. It is hard to know what the truth is anymore, and we will increasingly see people switching sides to the opposite pole of where they previously were in search of a new center. More and more, we will see the collapse of old authority structures as people take power into their own hands. There will be a greater emphasis on individuality and individual expression as opposed to trying to be "like the crowd" or in step with "societal norms."

Health

Innovative healing modalities also will evolve and become more widely available in 2026. This includes healing with sound, light, lasers, and other vibrational healing techniques. This is a good thing because planetary patterns portend a potential surge in communicable disease in the first half of 2026. Strengthen your immune system (or use one of the innovative healing techniques mentioned above) to protect yourself from ubiquitous flu-like viruses that may spike. Positive thoughts fortify the auric field of energy around your body and counteract potential negative energies. Imagine a fountain of blue flamelike waves of energy coursing through your body from the base of your spine to the crown of your head to strengthen your aura with greater light and to repel negative energy. 

Mercury Retrograde in 2026: Time to Reflect, Review, Renew

Please note that Mercury, the communications planet, is retrograde in water signs throughout the year. Water signs mediate emotional energy. Mercury Retrograde will invite you to experience deep emotional, relational, and psychological alchemy.

· February 26th to March 20th in Pisces

· June 29th to July 23rd in Cancer

· October 24th to November 13th in Scorpio

Summing Up Our Choices

The solution to the consternation we may feel as the "old world" crumbles, and the "new world" is born, is through our individual choices that eventually will create a collective change in consciousness. We still can make positive choices on an individual level that absolutely will reflect at the collective level. We can choose between compassion or self-interest; between fairness or domination; between equality, understanding, and empowerment of others, or damaging competition; between truth and falsehood; and between adherence to morality versus distraction to convenience.

Think carefully about the new direction you would like to take. Consider the person you want to be. Make choices that will bring you closer to what you envision. Will you rush ahead with a personal agenda or will you stop and make time to help another? Do you trust the universe to provide what you need or do you believe in lack? Do you have faith that you will be safe when you make choices based on love and caring?

The consciousness-changing planet Pluto in Aquarius from November 19, 2024 to 2044 has the potential to emanate wisdom to a society in hot pursuit of material goods, power, and status. As Pluto travels through Aquarius, we now have the opportunity to make choices embodied by the Aquarian ideals of individual freedom, brotherhood, and egalitarianism rather than choices based on personal gain.

We are at the cusp of a spiritual renaissance with spiritual Neptune in the initiating sign of Aries along with karmic Saturn in Aries, particularly when they align in February 2026. We are at a generational turning point for our identity, purpose and collective direction. Ultimately, we can make choices based on love, cooperation, and harmony. The Spirit within us is more powerful than any leader outside of us.

Imagine all that you have (rather than what you lack). Think about all you have to give. Trust in that Spirit to bring you what you need at the time you need it. Bring that awareness into your daily life. Maintain your awareness of your higher self (even if you have to set an alarm or a reminder on your phone) so you may transcend any pull to lower consciousness as you enable your daily life to bring you to a higher state of personal evolution!

Stay open to new influences as they will enhance your life's journey if you receive the new influences with an open heart. Energetic Mars will support your energy as it travels through Cancer from August 11 to September 27, 2026. You are a sensitive soul who has a great gift for empathizing with others and supporting them with your gentle, emotional nature. These planets will remain in Aries throughout the year and beyond. Spiritual Neptune enters fiery Aries, for the first time since 1875, on January 26, 2026, and will remain in Aries until 2039. Then, disciplined Saturn will move into fiery Aries on February 13, 2026, for the first time since 1999, and will remain in Aries until 2028. These planetary transits will challenge you for the next 2 years to be realistic about your expectations in relationships-and in your evaluation of the qualities  and potentials of the partnerships you are in. Now that your planetary ruler, Pluto, has firmly established its foundations in the sign of Aquarius, where it has been since November 19, 2024, it will now be challenging the foundations of your life. This is a good time to question decisions you have made in the past so you may integrate new discoveries about yourself. This new information will greatly empower your future personal and professional endeavors. You have a tremendous amount of psychological and emotional depth. And when you add greater self-awareness to this depth, you can more powerfully launch yourself to greater heights. Pluto will align multiple times throughout the year with planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Pluto's influence will be mixed with Saturn's energy (by a gentle "sextile" angle) on March 28, 2026, and with Uranus (by a flowing "trine" angle) on July 18 and November 29, 2026, with lucky Jupiter (by an "opposing" angle) on July 20, 2026, and with Neptune (by a gentle "sextile" angle)  on July 25 and September 15, 2026. These alignments will mean that Pluto, the most influential of all known planets in our solar system (because it circumscribes the largest orbit of all the known planets), will bring greater depth to you and will open you to further exploration. These influences also will  be felt in on the global stage, in business, government, and financial markets. Much will be exposed. Pluto also will be retrograde from May 6 to October 15, 2026. This means that you will experience your own depths more internally, within yourself, than through outward activities. This will be a good time to keep a journal or engage in some kind of healing or therapeutic practice. You will be more powerfully ready to manifest your inner awareness in the outer world once Pluto has resumed direct motion closer to your birthday.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
